Evergrn ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Evergrn mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and password. Service professionals also provide a phone number and the ZIP codes they serve.
Customers provide a service address when booking a job. The app requests your device location solely to calculate estimated drive times between you and a professional; we do not store your precise GPS coordinates.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number, CVV, or bank account details. We retain Stripe customer and subscription IDs to manage your account.
Service professionals may submit a government-issued photo ID and insurance certificate for verification. These images are processed by Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence OCR and then deleted from temporary storage. Extracted fields (name, expiry, coverage amounts) are stored on your provider profile.
Messages sent through the in-app job thread, including any photos you attach, are stored to provide the Service and resolve disputes. Photos are stored in Microsoft Azure Blob Storage.
We collect standard server logs (IP address, browser or device type, pages visited, timestamps) to operate and improve the Service. We also collect your device's time zone, so we can show times in your local time.
When you sign in, or someone tries to sign in as you, we keep a record of the time, the IP address, the approximate location we work out from that address, the device used, and whether the attempt succeeded. We keep it for 90 days and use it only to spot sign in attempts that were not you and to look into it when you tell us about one.
Several features of the Service are built on artificial intelligence (AI) — large language models supplied by Anthropic (the Claude family of models), together with document-reading, image and content-safety services supplied by Microsoft Azure. What is sent to those providers differs from feature to feature, so each feature is described separately below. Section 2B of our Terms of Service sets out what AI output is and is not, and your right to have a person handle a matter instead.
Evergrn uses AI to power the scope-of-work generation feature available to licensed trade professionals. When a provider requests a scope of work, the text messages and photos from that specific job thread are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API to produce a structured task list and material cost estimate. We do not send names, contact details, account identifiers, or any other personal information to this service. Only job conversation content — descriptions of work and images of the job site — is included.
Sprout is an AI feature that helps you describe a multi-trade project, writes a scope of work for each trade, presents the bids that come back, and stays with the job through completion. The photos you upload for a project, your written description, the messages you exchange with Sprout, and the name on your account are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API; the business names of the professionals booked on the project are included where Sprout needs them so that a question meant for one trade is not carried to another. Style illustrations of your property are produced by an image model hosted in Microsoft Azure. When Sprout answers questions about a set of bids it is not given the amounts, the professionals' names, or their ratings, and it is never given your payment details. The full transcript of every Sprout conversation, including the photos it was shown and the questions it relayed, is retained by Evergrn and may be reviewed by our staff for quality, safety, and dispute resolution.
A support request made inside the app is answered first by an AI assistant. Your message, the earlier messages in that conversation, and your name are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API — and, unlike scope-of-work generation, so is account information the assistant looks up in order to answer you: your own jobs and their service addresses, quotes, payment and payout amounts and statuses, and your profile, including your email address and subscription status. The assistant can only look up the account it is speaking to. Every conversation is stored, whether or not it was handed to a person, and may be read by Evergrn staff to review the assistant's answers, investigate a complaint, and audit any complimentary subscription it granted. Transcripts are deleted after 180 days, except where the conversation issued a complimentary subscription, in which case the transcript is kept for as long as that record is. Asking for a person at any point opens a support ticket that a person answers.
Government-issued IDs and insurance certificates are processed by Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence, which extracts structured fields (name, dates, policy numbers) solely to confirm eligibility. The images are not retained by the AI service beyond the processing request. The extraction is automated; the decision to approve or reject a document is made by a member of Evergrn staff.
To maintain a safe and respectful platform, all messages sent through the in-app job thread are automatically reviewed for policy violations before delivery. Text messages are analyzed by Anthropic's Claude API to detect profanity, threats, harassment, discriminatory language, off-platform payment solicitation, and references to illegal activity. Image attachments are reviewed by Microsoft Azure AI Content Safety to detect sexual, violent, hateful, or self-harm content.
Messages that violate our Community Guidelines are blocked and not delivered or stored. No personal identifiers are transmitted to these services — only the message content itself. Moderation decisions are automated; if you believe a message was incorrectly blocked, contact support@evergrn.co.
We do not sell your personal information to any AI service provider or any other third party.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:
Service professional names and general service areas are visible to customers browsing the platform. Specific contact details are only shared after a booking is confirmed.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within 30 days except where retention is required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes. Job records may be retained for up to 7 years to satisfy financial record-keeping obligations.
When a professional passes our ID check, we keep codes made from the details on their ID, scrambled with a secret key so the codes alone do not reveal those details, so that one person cannot receive the launch bonus twice. We keep those codes, and never the ID itself, on the professional's account while it is open and, once a bonus is earned, with the bonus record until one year after both their bonus period and the bonus program have ended, even if the account is deleted first, and then we erase them.
AI conversations are retained as described in Section 3: AI support transcripts are deleted after 180 days unless the conversation issued a complimentary subscription, and Sprout project conversations are retained with the project records they belong to.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at the address below. Customers and professionals may also update profile information directly in the app. If you are a resident of a jurisdiction with applicable privacy law (such as CCPA or GDPR), you have additional rights including the right to opt out of certain data uses — please contact us for details.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice in the app. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
